On Sanmachi Street, where our store is located, which borders the old townscape of Hida Takayama, a popular spot, the Garakuta Market is held on the first Sunday of every month from April to October.This is a popular antique market that has been going on since 1985, and many of the city's antique art dealers have set up shop on the pedestrian-friendly street, selling pottery, hanging scrolls, traditional crafts such as Shunkei lacquerware and Ichii Ittobori, old folk tools, and recycled items. Kimono and other items are lined up.
In addition, woodworking craft artists active in and outside of the city will also be participating, and one-of-a-kind furniture and accessories filled with the warmth of wood will be on display and for sale. You may come across an unexpected bargain. Please come and visit us.
Please come to our restaurant to fill up your stomach before your treasure hunt or take a break, and enjoy the flavors of Hida to the fullest, such as food menus made with Hida beef and Hida pork, as well as cafe lattes and royal milk tea made with plenty of Hida milk.
